1. Explain the timetable

Your child has to be aware of what a typical school day entails before they can prepare for it. Tell your child about a school’s normal timetable. Tell her who will be in your child’s class and what she should do. Make sure she practises lunchbox eating. Make sure your child gets practise being quiet and paying attention to directions. This will get her ready for long periods of time spent sitting in class and paying attention to the teacher.

2. Together, visit the school

Make sure you go to any orientation sessions held by the school before the start date with your child. This will give your child and you a sense of the layout of the school. Additionally, you’ll get to know the teacher and other parents. Once school starts, your child can make friends with the other kids who will be her classmates. Make plans to take your child to visit the school even if there is no orientation.

3. Try the uniform on

Try on some school clothes. This will inspire your youngster to look forward to wearing a uniform to school. You can buy school materials and let your youngster put them in a school bag if there is no uniform. Your youngster can practise packing her own backpack for school this way.

4. Find out how your child is feeling

How does your child feel about going to school? Do not brush off her worries or fears. Keep track of how your youngster responds to discussions about school. Check to see if your child responds with excitement or trepidation. By responding to all of your child’s inquiries, try to reassure her. By encouraging positive behaviour, you can encourage your youngster.

Please remind her to check her dress before stepping out of the stall. Teach the kid to wash their hands after using the restroom and to flush the toilet.

10. Teach your child to look after her belongings

Make sure your youngster knows how crucial it is to look after her possessions. Teach her to return items, such as books, crayons, erasers, and pencils, to their bags after use. Additionally, show her how to put the lunch box away in her bag when she finishes her meal. Allow your youngster to help you label all the items that are needed for school.
